Fielding 5 Senior squads 3 on a Saturday and 2 on a Sunday Grantham Cricket Club is able to accommodate for a range of abilities. Our Saturday 1st XI play at the highest level in Lincolnshire challenging for silverware. Our 2nd XI provide excellent development opportunities for younger players with the experience of senior core players in the squad. The 3rd XI offers a great opportunity for juniors starting out senior cricket. The Sunday 1st XI currently competes in the Rutland Leagued and our Sunday team currently consists of a mixture of junior and senior players. In 2021 the club looks to bring in a 4th Saturday XI, which will be our Development Friendly XI. This will be friendlies against clubs with the team consisting mainly of juniors and older senior players. On Sundays the 1st XI will be re-entering the Rutland League Division 1.

The Junior section consists of several age groups ranging from U10 to U15, playing across Lincolnshire and the surrounding area. The club makes efforts to provide our juniors with as many games as possible including hosting tournaments against local opposition and creating pathways for juniors to have the chance to play senior cricket, including our Saturday 4th XI and Sunday 2nd XI.

The club is one of several in Lincolnshire that encourages women’s cricket with our own hard ball women’s XI. Playing in the Lincolnshire League the women’s XI play at the weekends in a T20 format.

The club is committed for the future, in 2019 we had a successful All Stars programme running through early summer. With over 50 kids participating regularly at each succession the club looks to build on this in 2021 with All Stars and the new ECB initiative Dynamos involving children from ages 8-11.
