Grantham looks to accommodate people of all abilities to the club. As a club we field 3 Saturday teams and 1 Sunday team.
Training

First XI
The First XI compete in the ECB Lincolnshire Premier League which is the highest league in Lincolnshire. The team teams objective is to win the league and silverware. With half the squad containing experience at higher levels including Minor and First Class Counties. Grantham CC Have Appointed Former England International – Stylish left handed batsman, Usman Afzaal as Director of Cricket. He has played for Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire & Surrey. Usman Afzaal is an ECB Level 3 Certified Coach, with an immense amount of coaching experience.
Second XI
The Second XI compete in the South Lincs and Border Premier League. The league is a feeder to the Lincolnshire Premier meaning the 2nd XI offers the best standard of 2nd XI cricket possible. The team is based around a core of experienced players and youth. The team looks to build on its steady progress over the previous years and look to compete towards the top of league.
Third XI
The 3rd XI established in 2016 entered at the bottom division of the South Lincs and Border league in Division 2. The reason to create a 3rd XI was our ever expanding list of playing members including Juniors and Seniors. In 2019 the 3rd XI was promoted from Division 2 and in 2021 will make its long awaited arrival into Division 1 after the Covid hit season of 2020. The 3rd XI has a mixture of young exciting youths with several experienced players.
Development XI
Our Saturday 4th XI or Development XI was created in 2018 and entered the South Notts Development Division its purpose being for juniors and seniors to play cricket on Saturdays but for a shorter time frame. This included a reduction in overs and earlier finish times. In our first season the team came 2nd in the league. Due to the Covid hit season of 2020 the side decided not to enter and for the 2021 season the Development XI will predominantly play as a Friendly XI playing on occasional Saturdays.
Sunday Teams
With the re-entry of the clubs Sundays 1st XI into the Rutland League the team will look to go one better in 2019 after finishing 2nd in the league. Our Sunday 2nd XI compete in the Grantham & Melton league in Division 1 and consists of a blend of seniors and juniors many of whom is there first step into senior cricket.
